Ramesh Shukla witnessed history on December 2, 1971, as the rulers of the seven emirates signed the ‘Union Agreement,’ forming the UAE. On that day, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan became President, and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Vice President. Shukla’s unique access allowed him to capture intimate, iconic photographs of this pivotal moment—now proudly displayed in the Etihad Museum.
